Hello to all my esteemed readers,
Last week, I focused on Sora — the AI tool that comes bundled with the ChatGPT subscription.
Continuing with Sora this week, I wanted to highlight its incredible ability to generate consistent characters. I selected an illustrated image of a young boy and set out to depict a possible day in his life. I even created a short video. I believe the results turned out quite well.
To create the images, I used Sora; for the video, I used Pika; and the music was made with Suno. The scene resembling a computer game was rendered with Midjourney and included in the video. Midjourney keeps surprising me — it’s proving to be an excellent tool for animating artistic stills.
In Sora, you upload an image of the boy and describe the desired action and setting in the prompt. The resulting image is then animated using other software, as I find that Sora isn’t the strongest option for animation itself.
Using Pika and Midjourney, I animated the images generated with Sora and produced a short film. The character — the boy — isn’t perfectly consistent, but it’s not bad either.
AI is showing real signs of maturity, and creating consistent characters is becoming noticeably easier.
In addition to the newsletter, I also post two images daily on my blog: titacosta.blogspot.com. I hope you enjoy following along.
Wishing you a wonderful week,
Tita Costa
