(EN) Hello to all my readers,
Today, I’m happy to share a newsletter about John Constable (1776-1837), a celebrated English landscape painter. Constable is renowned for his beautiful depictions of the English countryside, especially the area around his home in Suffolk, which is now affectionately known as "Constable Country." His work is famous for its detailed and realistic portrayal of rural scenes, capturing the natural beauty and atmospheric effects of the English landscape.
Constable, the British Suffolk painter from East Bergholt, not only painted picturesque landscapes but also the magnificent Suffolk skies. He often depicted rural scenes featuring rivers and introduced an innovative technique using small brushstrokes and vivid colors. His approach had a significant influence on the Impressionists and later French painters, and he is well-regarded as a Naturalist.
During my time in England, I had the chance to explore Constable Country and see an exhibition on his skies at the old Tate Museum and Gallery. These experiences inspired me to feature Constable in this newsletter.
Constable Country remains wonderfully preserved, complete with water mills, boats, and mallards, under stunning skies.
Some of Constable’s notable works include:
The Hay Wain (1821): This painting depicts a rural scene with a cart crossing a river, showcasing the natural landscape and its detailed sky.
Dedham Vale (1802): A picturesque view of the River Stour valley.
Salisbury Cathedral Series: These works highlight the interplay of architecture and nature.
Six-Footer Canvases: Large-scale paintings that capture expansive landscapes and dramatic skies.
I hope you enjoy John Constable and his beautiful artwork, translated into AI images.

Today's film is a TV Art slideshow featuring naturalistic landscape paintings inspired by the style of John Constable. While these images draw on Constable's influence, they lack the unique genius that he brought to his work. After all, these paintings are machine-made. Though not perfect, they are intriguing in their own way.
You can find the film on my YouTube channel, Tita Costa TV Art (@titacostatvart). It runs for about 8 minutes and is a piece designed to inspire peace and calm, quite the opposite of stress or adrenaline. I’ve named it Constable AI Country.
The two daily pictures are being posted regularly on the blog. This week’s theme is “Art Classes.”
See you next Tuesday!
I hope you are enjoying my practical use of AI.

Dedham Vale (1802): Uma vista pitoresca do vale do rio Stour.
