Haikus in AI
Can AI create art? Poetry? Visually impactful and pleasing images? These are the questions I explore in my Weekly Newsletter.
(EN) A warm hello to my readers,
Today, I bring you a collection of AI-generated haikus with accompanying images, in both English and Portuguese. The prompts for these images come directly from the haikus themselves. Along with the poetry, I offer some reflections on the theme of Artificial Intelligence. It’s a simple newsletter, and I hope it stirs some emotions. My goal is to reach the human intelligence of the heart and sensitivity.
AI is still in its early stages, and many futures are possible. One of my fantasies is that, based on the specific setup of each computer workstation, the AI responses generated by my computer could differ from those generated by someone else’s, even with the same training data. Since AI is grounded in the fluidity of the internet, this would mean that our computer becomes an even more personal and unique extension of ourselves.
In this way, what I create with my computer is shaped by the digital information I value and may be quite unique, even though it is AI-generated.
It's important to see AI as a tool we work with, rather than something to be exploited. AI cannot be treated as a mere commodity or slave to humanity. That mindset simply won’t work with AI, and it offers a valuable lesson for us all.
If you have any thoughts, feel free to share them in this newsletter.
Mountain Mist: Silent peaks arise,
Wrapped in veils of morning mist,
Echoes lost in dawn.
Autumn Leaves: Crimson leaves descend,
Whispering secrets to earth,
Autumn's final breath.
Ocean at Dusk: Waves kiss sandy shore,
The sun dips below the sea,
Night embraces blue.
Winter Moon: Frosted branches gleam,
Under a pale winter moon,
Stillness in the night.
Cherry Blossoms: Pink petals cascade,
Dancing with the gentle breeze,
Spring whispers in bloom.
Harvest Time: Sunburned hands at dawn,
Gathering golden wheat fields,
Autumn’s toil begins.
Fisherman's Haul: Nets heavy with life,
Salt-kissed faces greet the dawn,
Ocean yields its gifts.
Shepherd's Watch: Flocks graze on green hills,
A lone shepherd's quiet gaze,
Wind whispers through pines.
Village Blacksmith: Hammer strikes the steel,
Sparks fly in the twilight glow,
Forge breathes life to iron.
Rice Field Labor: Bent backs in the mud,
Planting hope in flooded fields,
Earth and hands unite.
The two daily images are being posted on both titacosta.blog and the Tita Costa website. This week, I'm focusing on rendering images of fruit trees.
You can also check out my two YouTube channels, where I’ve been posting videos: Tita Costa AI and Tita Costa TV Art.
That’s all for today. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead!

Coruja nocturna: Voo silencioso,
Olhos grandes na penumbra,
A noite vigia.
Cavalo a galope: Relva sob cascos,
O vento corre com ele,
Liberdade pura.
Gato na janela: Olhos no horizonte,
O gato espreita o crepúsculo,
Sonha com a noite.
Raposas espreitam: No campo de erva,
Raposas deslizam leves,
Sombra entre sombras.
Andorinhas no céu: Rasgam nuvens brancas,
Andorinhas desenham
